Actually the conditions are just in case - so that anyone who leaves inappropriate comments, or attacks others here, will not have their comments displayed.

I haven’t had any real trouble, and have a couple of plugins that delete comments that contain certain words, or an excess number of links.

Thanks for the comments - Peter Denahy has been around for quite a while, and is very talented. I like the way he used ‘writers block’ as the catalyst for writing a song.

The Great Escape - truly a remarkable chapter of WW2 history, and judged a success because even though only three prisoners escaped Germany, it is estimated that they tied up at least 50,000 troops, and kept them from the war effort.

I see you have posted a notice before the comment box. Been receiving hate mail lately? Me, I just delete them. It’s okay to disagree but to leave insults is another thing. I usually receive these types from conservative right wingers in the US.

This is a wonderfully entertaining post on Peter Denahy. He very aptly describes some of today’s detached and under achieving youngsters; those with no drive nor direction. The song is good and should attract a lot of today’s kids.

Your previous post on the Great Escape is also remarkable. I remember seeing this movie and it further reinforced my identification with Steve McQueen. This was a moving tribute and sort of eulogy. Very nice. –Durano, done!
