Seize The Day And Pluck It While It Is Ripe

Fresh CoffeeI went to the doctor today for a general check up.

Living in the same town that I grew up in means that I deal with people and businesses that my family has dealt with for years, and in some cases, for generations.

This doctor’s practice is one of those. In fact, one of his predecessor’s delivered me all those years ago, and so it is easy to relax, and talk.

He asked me about my latest projects, and how my writing was going.

I shared that I was at a crossroads, and was considering which way to go from here.

His reply was simply: “Seize The Day!”

I’ve been thinking about it all day and mentioned it to Teeg when she came online earlier, and she introduced me to this song on YouTube, which really grasps the essence of “Seize The day”, or “Carpe Diem”.

Yummy Chocolate!

Carpe Diem is a phrase from a Latin poem by Quintus Horatius Flaccus, a Roman poet who lived from December 8, 65 BC until November 27, 8 BC.

Known as ‘Horace’ in the English speaking world, he was a poet during the reign of Augustus Caesar!

The term is also translated as: enjoy the day, pluck the day when it is ripe.

I hope that you enjoy the song as much as I have.

Remember, there is a season for every thing under the sun!

Let this be the day that You pluck the day like you would a ripe apple off a tree, and enjoy it… make the most of the time you have!
