I can’t believe that people actually fall for this stuff. If such a thing happened in a Wal-Mart the company would be taking care of the family so that they do not lose a huge settlement in the courts. Maybe if the story had them in a small local store it would be a little more believable.

Hi all,
Thanks for bringing this to my attention Allan, I haven’t had the chance to explore facebook yet as it’s been so busy round here, and what with my blog being down for more than 7hrs with no explanation am now exploring other hosting options.

I will be looking into facebook more over the coming days, as soon as I get the chance and I guess from your post i’ll be checking frequently my ‘wall’. I’ve seen these kinds of messages in my inbox a lot especially this time of year, seems they get everywhere.

Yes - deleting is the best course of action!

If it is someone that I know, I will go to Snopes.com and look it up to see what they have to say about it. I then send the link saying thanks for the message, here’s more info…

I get so many of these in my email that if I see FWD, I usually just delete it without reading…unless it’s from my mom

A lot of stuff that people send like this is only to manipulate people, and they seem to add His name to make it more believable!

I like Facebook because a lot of people that I know are there!

I’ve joined Friendster, and linked it to my Facebook account, but I don’t get there very much!

i don’t do facebook. the only profile page i run and update or check on a regular basis is my friendster account. but it isn’t different with facebook in terms of those stupid chain messages. even if it’s about God and religion, i still delete them. GOD DOES NOT FRIGHTEN ANYONE JUST SO TO BELIEVE IN HIM. I hate the way these people do this chain messages. they say at the bottom part to forward it or you’ll suffer, you’ll have bad luck, whatever. it isn’t good.

I agree wholeheartedly… I don’t check my wall all that often and occasionally, I do see these “urban myths’ and other chain letters that come along and I think, why bother. The best one though is when people get excited about Bill Gates giving away money for passing along a test email!! Now that’s a good one
