Marketing 101: How Not To Do It!

I’ve spent years analyzing email marketing, working out what works, and what doesn’t.

Below is an example of what doesn’t work, and here are the reasons why.

Reason 1: I’m not subscribed to this person’s list, I don’t know them from Adam. Yes, it’s spam!

Reason 2: I have no idea what the offer is. Why would I want to access the private VIP offer?

Reason 3: He’s trying to bribe me with gifts! (I have enough junk on my hard drive).

Reason 4: The links to the “offer” and to the unsubscribe link are the same.

That means that regardless of whether I want to go to that page or not, that’s where I will end up!

Will I cop a virus? Who owns the site? What will happen when I arrive there?

I think that I need to teach a course on this stuff!
