Thanks @whoisTodd, I think that interaction is a great feature with Twitter. Linking #followfriday to a post like this helps to encourage the conversation!

This post was my version of what others are doing, and I’m not sure who started it, so of course, you’re more than welcome to try the idea!

Oh yea, any time you can extend the conversation it’s a good thing … and if you can integrate twitter with your blog, all the better.

Speaking of that, I like what you did with the follow-friday post. I was actually consider trying something similar myself. Hope you don’t mind if I “borrow” your idea.

G’day @whoisTodd I tried Disqus and Intense Debate some time ago, but prefer this plugin.

What I like about linking the blog to Twitter is that it extends the conversation, and includes others.

I get a bit concerned sometimes that the conversation and interaction can get lost in all the background noise elsewhere!

Hi Alan,

Funny you should mention Disqus, I’m actually trying that out for about a week now … for just the opposite reason as you mentioned … I actually did/do want to get comments off of my blog.

Either way, the idea of tweeting comment replies strikes me as a good one. If a topic is good enough to take the time to write out a comment, it should be good enough to send to my twitter stream.
