Who You Are Does Make A Difference
Teeg sent me a link to Blue Ribbon Movies today.
The link features a school program and promotes a program that seeks to build self esteem within the community using a book and materials by Mary Robinson Reynolds and Helice “Sparky” Bridges.
It’s important to make a point of affirming the the value of the input that those around us have in our day to day lives.
I don’t know if we face more pressure these days, or whether the fact that we all seem to be so busy makes it easier to forget the important things like expressing love and appreciation to others.
Sometimes, all it needs for someone else to be encouraged is a smile and a warm greeting.
I saw a quote on Facebook the other day where one of my online friends said that smiles are like influenza – they’re catching.
Take a moment today to reflect on the fact that you are more than what you do for a living.
I tell people that I am Allan, and I do what I do to provide for my family, but it isn’t who I am.
So I could work as a janitor, a bus driver, or an executive, but none of those things would be who I am!
I believe that all of us are created in the image of the Creator – we all have the power to make choices, to dream, to create, to forgive, to be forgiven….
Just my thoughts for today!
Have a good week!
