Free Software Monitors Web Sites

Nothing makes my heart sink more online than when I click onto my own sites, and find that there is nothing there.

While there are commercial services that monitor blogs and websites for changes, or disruptions, they may not always inform you in time.

This week I have been busy rebuilding my software site at Software Kings!

While I was taking a break from my labors, I clicked over here to check my stats, and discovered that the blog was down.

I checked my email, and had received a notification from my monitoring service that the site was down.

The disruption lasted under an hour, and by the time I’d found out about it and had an email written to my web host, the site was back up again.

The trouble is that I have been trying to be more productive, and not check my email so often!
