Hillary Clinton Is Doing It For The Sisters
Hillary Clinton claims that too many people have worked too hard to see a woman in the White House for her to simply give up now!
Women have been at the core of her support base in the four-month Democratic Party’s Presidential Primaries race.
Senator Clinton’s defiance came as it emerged her rival, Barack Obama, could be planning to declare himself the victor later this month.
According to a CNN survey Neither candidate has the 2,025 total delegates needed for the nomination, with Obama having 1,862 total delegates and Clinton 1,697.
With only 217 pledged delegates up for grabs in the remaining contests, the race is going to go to the wire.
While a woman has the same right to run for office as any man, and any citizen of any race has the same right, to actually claim to be representing any one group or sector of society could be dangerous to the candidate’s chances of election.
I find that the whole process is very destructive, and the Republicans must be rubbing their hands with delight.
Whether these two team up as Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates is to be seen, but the longer this battle goes on, the harder it will be for the eventual winner to run against John McCain.
Unity, and the interests of the nation should come first.
Rather than claiming that they can represent one sector of society better than someone else makes me wonder….
Isn’t it supposed to be government for (all) the people by (all) the people?
Black or white, male or female, we can only hope that the best person for the job wins!
