Facebook Applications Won’t Take No For An Answer
Rodney Rumford’s Face Reviews asks if anyone else has suffered ‘Application Overload’ on Facebook?
I know that I have, and have recently started blocking applications that I receive repeated invitations from.
If they keep coming after that, then my next step is to report them to Facebook itself.
Of particular concern to me are applications that require you to invite friends before being able to use it.
This has happened to me a couple of times, and when it did, I dropped the application concerned like a hot potato.
Unfortunately, at that time I wasn’t as Facebook savvy then as I am now, otherwise I would have reported them!
There is a group dedicated to fighting applications that spam here!
Facebook are 100% commited to fighting spam, and if an application keeps sending invitations after you have blocked it, you need to report it!
Likewise, if an application requires you to invite others before being able to use it, you can report it!
While I think long and hard about reporting anyone, or anything, on social networking sites, sometimes enough is enough!
Please Note: I would attempt to address the problem with the application’s owner/developer before reporting it!
The majority of application developers are great people, and this post is in no way meant as a slur on them!
As a matter of fact I have some who are Facebook friends, and have no desire to cause any upset to them.
As for applications that I do like, I have no trouble recommending them to friends anyway.
As a matter of fact, I picked up the post from Face Reviews on Blog Friends.
If you’re a blogger, and are on Facebook, you owe it to yourself to give it a try!
