Tuesday Memes June 30 2015
Well, here we are on the last day of June 2015, and for us here in Australia the last day of the financial year!
This is the day that people tend to rifle through cupboards and drawers trying to find all of their receipts and invoices to take to the accountant!
I’ve noticed a lot more people calling June “hump month” this year, and as with the term for Wednesday (hump day) it always makes me think that people are wishing their lives away.
It takes all sorts I guess, and sometimes it gets a bit hard for people to figure each other out!
Which brings me to today’s quote!
Joe South wrote and sang a song in the 1960s called “Walk A Mile In My Shoes”, and at times of great debate, the song often comes back to me. Such is the case this week with all of the debate about who can marry who, what’s right and what’s wrong.
The fact is, that we all come from different backgrounds and cultures. We all have different beliefs and experiences, different hurts, different victories.
My 2 cents worth (heck, a lot of people are getting more than that, so I may as well have a go) is that the law change in the US hasn’t put food in the bellies of the starving, or a roof over the heads of the homeless, but it has stirred up a storm that distracts us from other stuff that is happening!
Anyway, here’s today’s meme. Feel free to share!
Thanks for checking out today’s quote.
