If You Think You Can Or Can’t Do Something You’re Right

Can You Do It?

Success in life is about more than just positive thinking, but your thinking, and attitudes, can help define your success, or lack of success in life.

While we live in an unfair world, your attitude to life has a bearing on your eventual success.

Of course, the environment that we live, and grow up in, can play a major part in how we think, and our attitudes to life.

The thing is though that we don’t have to stay there.

An example that I found today is Hani Sidaros, who has been labelled as Canberra’s “Mr Maccas”.

Hani came to Australia from Egypt with his family in 1970, and worked up to three jobs at a time while he studied.

You can find his story here in The Canberra Times

Just quietly, while Hani has to be admired for his efforts, and work ethic, the real hero of the story is probably his mother.

What Is Your Measure Of Success?

Modern society seems to tend to regard financial success and acclaim as the standard for success.

But what about people who make sacrifices in order to make it possible for others just to live, letter alone find success in life?

People like Mother Theresa spring to mind, and the organization that she set up is still out there working on the streets after she’s gone, providing help and assistance!

That’s success!

Other successful people include Hani’s parents, who moved out of their comfort zone to come to Australia in search of a better life, and his mother especially, who went to work when his father was injured.

Hani’s success is more than financial as well, as evidenced by his encouragement of his management team and staff!

Today’s title comes from a quote by Henry Ford: “If you think you can do a thing, or can’t do a thing, you’re right!”

The proof of the pudding is in the eating!

So what are you thinking about today?

Life’s unfair, but today you could begin the change, by changing the way you think.

Whether your goal is to create a fortune so that your family has a better life, or to work with an organization such as Save The Children to ensure that other families have a better life, today is the day to get that thinking right!

Otherwise you may still be sitting in ten years and wondering “what if…?”
