I Got A Job Offer From Tim Cook
I found something special in my inbox this morning!
A job offer from none other than Apple CEO Tim Cook!
I had to turn it down of course.
After all, even a $3,500.00 per week job would get a bit tiresome with a commute from regional Australia to the US.
Although the email did say that I could pick the hours that I wanted to work, and I only had to work 31 of them!
What would I have to do to earn that sort of money?
I’m not sure, the email wasn’t clear on that, but all I had to do was click that link…
Of course, being set firmly in the Android/Windows camps, I’d stick out like a sore thumb in the Apple camp.
I don’t own anything Apple related at all.
The kids do of course, maybe they’d like the job…
Maybe the offer was for them?
Or maybe they need a contrary, set in his ways bloke like me to give them another view of the world?
This isn’t the only communication that I have received from Apple by the way.
I keep getting emails from iTunes as well saying that my account (which I don’t have by the way) is about to expire.
So thanks for the offer Tim, it was nice of you to think of me, but I have to give it a miss this time.
I hope you’re not too disappointed mate, have a great weekend anyway!
The Serious Bit!
As much as I admire the creativity of the person who sent the email, it was spam. It’s certain that Tim Cook, Bill Gates or even Mark Zuckerberg would never offer me a job out of the blue.
Nor would Mr Zuckerberg reward you financially for posting some stupid meme on your Facebook page.
I receive thousands of spam emails, and rarely even look at them – the one mentioned above gave me a good laugh.
And I make a point of never clicking links in spam emails, and definitely never opening attachments. You could get into very deep doo doo doing stuff like that!
