The Profile Of A Local Hero
It’s not until you see a hero out of their super hero outfit and in their everyday clothes that you realize just how remarkable they are.
Take my friend John Cole (left) for instance.
We’ve known each other since Adam was a boy, both growing up in the same country town, both working in the health system, and both rescuing each other from different situations at different times (usually with some nurse in his case – he had a mustache like Sonny Bono, and they just loved him for some reason!). The firefighters have done a remarkable job and our thanks must go in particular to all those from interstate and overseas. They have traveled many miles to help Victorians and your efforts and time is greatly appreciated.
Cheers,

Thanks Ric,
The your comment comes at a time when it’s been revealed that the fire fighter that was killed last night came from Canberra.
My condolences and best wishes go to his family.
This is a reminder that although the worst may be over, the battle still continues!
Cheers
When you consider these people are volunteers it makes there efforts even greater. The fact that they are only called on from time to time for small issues and then fearlessly face the fire storms experienced in the last few weeks is a true testament to their courage. I doff me lid – well done our heroes.

Hi, what a great man john, I totally agree this. Fire is not so easy work. Then the spirit is very rich indeed.
I admire firefighters immensely. It takes courage to do that job and we’re fortunate for people like your friend John.
I was reading an article about your daughter moving out and wanted to let you know that I can relate to feeling sad about it. I tried to track it down again, but it might as well be lost in space. Grabbing another coffee. 🙂
