Monetizing With A Slight Change Of Direction

After a lot of thought over the past few months, and testing, I have decided to add Amazon.com adverisements to ‘Coffee With Allan’.

Because of the amount of time I spend maintaining this site, I have decided that it’s time for it to pay its way!

Having trialled Google Adsense for a time, as of today, I have removed Adsense from the sidebar, and replaced them with ads from Amazon.com.

As with the Google ads, I have kept the Amazon ads to a minimum.

My focus is still on providing the best quality content that I can, and in no way do I intend to turn this blog into a sales site!

I’ve added a product cloud to the bottom of each post, so that visitors can click on product suggestions if they wish.

It will be interesting to see how this goes, as product suggestions will be made according to the content of the post.

I guess if I mention expresso coffee, or even a coffee machine it may appear below. We’ll just have to wait and see.

My aim in all of this has been to keep advertising as unobtrusive as possible, and away from the main body of each post.

I hope that this doesn’t upset anyone, and I invite your comments.
