FriendFeed Presents Easy Networking Options

Fresh CoffeeMako wrote about life streaming and Friendfeed today, and I learned a new term: ‘life streaming’.

I learned a lot of other things from the article as well, especially in regard to other products that work alongside Friendfeed.

One thing that Mako recommends is MySocial 24×7, A Firefox extension that displays Friendfeed in a sidebar.

Maki’s article obviously covers a lot more detail and is well worth a read!

What I like about Friendfeed is that it aggregates the feeds from different sources such as blogs, Stumblupon, Digg, Twitter and Ma.gnolia into one.

I’m using it in conjunction with my Facebook account, and it provides a news feed to my profile there.

The great thing is that I am also receiving my friends’ feeds as well, so I am able to keep up with them, and comment on their posts as well.

All in all, a great social networking tool!

  1. Hi Allan,

I’ve got to stop dropping by here. Now I’m using FriendFeed and MySocial and patiently reading all that info that I really didn’t want to know in the hope of picking out a few gems. 🙂 Thank God for retirement.

  2. Hey Don,

I’m glad you keep stopping by! Shows that I’m not just writing and talking to myself!

What I like about FriendFeed is that I can see what everyone else is doing, and go to their site, or comment from the feed itself! A very handy tool!

    Cheers!
