A Great Blogging Tool To Build Community

by Allan on December 1, 2007

Building a sense of community around your blog by encouraging visitors to comment may be a way to create a buzz and draw more traffic.

Getting people to leave comments though can be difficult, especially when they are busy or pressed for time!

I’ve found an ideal answer to help solve the problem!

This plugin actually searches for the last post on your visitor’s blog, and displays it when they submit their comment!

I use the Akismet plugin to block spam as well, because I obviously don’t want junk either!

I’ve only been using this for a week, but the results are promising so far!

The plugin is called ‘Comment Luv’.

Please note that I have no affiliation with Comment Luv, and have no commercial interest in it either.

I’ve found that it gives great value, and hope that it does the same for others!

Great tip, Allan. That’s the way we all learn, from each other.

I also found it neat enough to include in my preciously guarded list of install-not-too-many-plugins. For now I’ll leave it there because it’s quite funny to see the latest postings. I don’t care that much for SEO but for a private blog it just gives a little bit more information on the person who wrote the comment entry.

Thanks for the feed back. I like the way it helps to get to know my visitors. I must say that I didn’t know what to expect when I saw the headline ‘I’ve got the biggest harem…” ;)
