Use My Content But Don’t Pinch My Traffic

I was checking online for content copied off my web site today!

What I found was a blogger who had copied an article word for word, changed the title and taken credit for the writing.

After a rant about what I’d do if I got hold of the offender, I slowed down, and cooled off! Then I made contact with them!

The issue wasn’t that they used my content, the problem was that they took my content, and claimed it as their own.

The stupid thing was that I had written another version of the article, and posted it to Ezine Articles…

The blogger could have legitimately used that article, placed a link back to my blog, and everything would have been fine!

The offending article has since been changed, and every thing is fine now, but the whole thing has really got me thinking!

From now on, I will be posting more articles on Ezine Articles.com, and my own directory, Freelance-Articles.com

I have no problem with others taking a slice of an article that I’ve written here, posting it on their blog and linking back to me!

Slightly Used Article Site For Sale!

Mean while, I am considering selling Freelance Articles.

Since doing the ‘Thirty Day Challenge’ in August, I’ve changed course, and seem to be getting busier everyday!

Email me here if interested!

All sensible offers will be considered, and the highest, or ‘any’ offer not necessarily accepted!

The site was started in April, and has grown quite well!

The domain and site are for sale, along with other extensions of the domain to protect the brand!

I’m not desperate to sell, as the thing feels like part of me, but it would be nice to see it grow to the next level!

Enjoy Monday, and have a great week!

  1. It happens quite a lot, and what might have made it seem even worse to you (if I were you that is) would be if the site that copied you was littered with Adsense! That’s all some people think they have to do copy and paste, implement SEO techniques, and they’ll make money.

  2. What was even more interesting was that I had the same thing happen with this article as well. The whole thing was copied via rss. Have since changed my feed, and complained to their host, but it is a pain!
