One of my favourite sayings from “somewhere” is If life gives you lemons, ask for tequila and salt, and call me!
So when someone sent me a shot of tequila on Facebook using the Hug Me application, well, I couldn’t resist, I had to do something back, right?
So I went to the application, and seeing as it is St Patrick’s Day, I sent a leprechaun back.
Or at least I thought I did!
What I ended up doing was throwing a darn leprechaun at a whole stack of people…
Although I had only chosen one person, the application chose to send it to a busload of Facebook friends.
I thought that I was over throwing stuff on Facebook, so if you had the misfortune to cop a short person (sorry, vertically challenged person) in your breakfast cereal, please accept my apologies.
I thought that I had had selected the “Unselect All” link, and then chosen my Tequila slurping buddy, but alas – a lot of the “all” remained!
I’ve had this problem with other applications, and just stopped using them as a result.
It spoils an otherwise fun application.
I hope that the developers can fix it, because I’d rather stop using a Facebook application than lose friends over a misunderstanding.

Oh, Allan I know exactly what you mean! (Thanks for the leprechaun by the way).
Once I accidentally sent a heavy metal song out to everyone encouraging them to “get down with the sickness”. Ugh.

I guess we are all allowed one error now and then considering we post everyday and make several visits and comments daily too. I know I’ve had my share of doing such things, even on my cell phone!
Anyway, the recipients know you meant well, it’s just that something went awry. Can’t trust these fingers sometimes. Funny post! –Durano, done!
