Facebook And The People You Meet There!

One of the great things about sites like Facebook, is the number of different people that you meet from all around the world.

I met Diane Corriette in a group on Facebook about three months ago, and her vision and passion for business really struck me.

Diane is the founder of Women Internet Marketers, a place where women in business online can connect with, and support each other.

Her goal is to point others in the right direction, and to help them to raise their online visibility.

Womens’ Internet Marketers has a strong team of mentors and coaches that specialise in areas such as podcasting, copywriting and personal development, just to name a few.

This mother of three has a passionate desire to develop her business, and to help others in the process.

Diane says: ‘Its all about team work. When we promote each other its far more powerful than trying to work alone, and while I don’t pretend to have all the answers, I have some great internet marketing friends I can call on to share their knowledge!’

And there we have the value of effective networking in business, either on or offline!

None of us can really claim to have all the answers, and networking with others is a vital key in business.

Being a member of a site like Linkedin, or Facebook can add great value to our networking efforts, but in the end, successful networking involves open communication, sharing and paying it forward.

Oh, and in case you’re wondering, the ‘WIM’ in wimsite.com also stands for We Include Men, a point that Diane pulled me up on some months ago!

  1. Hey allan, Hows it going!
Diane makes a great point, its MUCH MUCH better to work in or part of a team, so much more canbe accomplished, I think this is the missing ingredient in the web-o-sphere, networking and team work, instead dog eat dog. Let me know if I can help out in anyway.

    Cheers and beers
