I’m still amazed at the number of people who don’t know about Twitter!
I guess then that it’s no wonder that even fewer know about FriendFeed.
Marc Berry wrote a guest post for Teeg on Sucomments about Friendfeed, and rather than retrace his steps, I thought that I would add a couple of things that I had noticed about the site.
As Marc says, you are able to display your activity from sites such as Twitter, Stumbleupon, Digg, YouTube, and your own blog on Friendfeed,
You’re also able to add content by clicking the button on your profile that says ‘Share Something’.
This allows you to post a message, as well as a link.
An extension of this is the bookmarklet that allows you to bookmark sites from your browser tool bar.

Allan, I appreciate your adding the video above because I haven’t taken the time to really delve deeply into the inner-workings of friendfeed, and didn’t know about the bookmarklet. I love that!
I’ve been trying to find a working balance between having the time to prepare posts with social networking on twitter, friendfeed etc. I like how friendfeed allows me to access what my “friends” are doing all in one place.

I’m glad the video helped. I’m finding that with so many new social sites, and the continual evolution of the existing ones, that they all take some keeping up with.
Finding a balance is the key – while there is a benefit to social networking, there is a cost to pay in terms of time spent…!
